Hey Now, Happy New Year!
This post is a call to action for you to use the most important tool available to you to become who you were created to be.
You may not see it now, but the stories inside of you will unlock the doors to your destiny. There is a powerful purpose in your experiences and it’s time to pull them out. The picture of me above was taken in 2015. This was at my book launch party, and if I look a little 'WOW'd by the moment, it's because I was. I just couldn't believe that this was happening. I wrote a book about the most traumatic experience of my existence and how God loved me back to life. I couldn't believe that people were actually there and wanted to read my story.
But they did, and the same is true for you. Tonight on my Periscope I shared how one of my very first book coaching clients discovered me through an article on BlackEnterprise.com.
She had Googled "Tragedy to Triumph" and my picture came up. She is a sex trafficking survivor and was finally ready to share her story. She was the first tragedy survivor that I coached into an author. Since then, I've had the honor of coaching over 100 authors, writing books with and for over 25, and publishing approximately a dozen since we became a full-fledge publishing company.
I know how scary it can be to share your story and also how frustrating it is to know that you were created for more and yet you don't know how it'll happen. It's painful to be overlooked, and I get it.
The way to experience the opportunities that you desire is to begin sharing your story intentionally and strategically. The stories that you share will determine the doors that you walk through.
